Game Scores and Standings The winning coach of a game should send in their game score as soon as possible after the game is played ... hopefully within 24 hours. If there is a tie or the winning coach does not have access to e-mail then arrange for someone to send in the score. When you are submitting your games scores and highlights there is some information that we absolutely need:
2) Division 3) Winning Team Score. 4) Losing Team Score. 5) Date of Game & Place. If you are going to submit game highlights, you should be aware that your submission is virtually cut and pasted to the league website just as you have sent it. Any misspellings, poor punctuation, bad grammar, a lack of proper capitalization, and excessive spacing that you included in your submission are also posted. Look at the current highlights for examples. Please read and proof your highlights before you hit the send button. Also, if you have some digital pictures of game action please submit it along with your highlights and we will try to post them. On a weekly basis we submit highlights to the West Seneca Bee and the West Seneca Pennysaver for use in their publications. Parents and the boys and girls who play like to see their hard work recognized for everyone to see. It is also good publicity for our league. The highlights submitted are those for the prior week starting from Monday through Sunday. The space that is available for us is limited to 100 words per game and fluctuates weekly depending on their needs. There is no guarantee that they will use our submissions. Our copy is edited for length so please limit the length of your submissions. Also, we have received a notice that they do not want to use submissions that only have the first names of the players, so please send in first and last names. While we will post them on our website, those submissions may not get included in those we send for publication. At times this year we have received submissions from both coaches in a game. Sometimes even the scores submitted by the coaches from the same game is different. We will post the score and highlights submitted by the coach of the winning team in this type of situation. The standings we post on the website reflect the game scores that have been submitted. If the standings look wrong please check the on-line schedule directly under the standings. The submitted scores are posted next to each scheduled game. Blanks in the scores means that no score was submitted for that game. Please send in your scores!! The league has adopted a point system to determine standings, 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. After that for the website we have listed them in order of lower losses. A team with a 2 - 0 record is listed ahead of one with a 2 - 1 record even though both teams have 4 points. If you ever notice any error in the posted scores, standings or highlights please notify us immediately. Corrections will be made as soon as possible.
